An afternoon at the museum

So we hopped in the car and drove around for a while looking for cool places to shoot. After a quick power nap we ended up at the children's museum in La Habra.  We had a blast! 

Ava was quite the little model.  She allowed photographs to be taken of her. Man this little is tough to get in front of the camera.  She reminds me of the time we went to china town in San Francisco and all the meat markets would yell at me " No Pikchas, No Pikchas" when i would pull out my camera.    (long Story)

Camp out miles away!

This past Saturday we decided to go camping.  It was an outing that only Nayah and I would take. After arriving to the camping area, we had a long hike to the camp grounds.  Boy, I thought Nayah was going to be tired out but she kept truckin' along.  When we arrived at the camp site she asked "Is this where we'll set the tent up? " I replied, "Heck yeah this spot is perfect."  after having a nice BBQ cheeseburger dinner we then began to play some games.  She brought along one of her fav's connect four and I brought a deck of cards.  I wanted to pack light due to our tough hike we had. We kept playing games then she asked "Dad  what time is it?"  It was 12:00am! Wow the time flew by so fast because we were having so much fun!  Here are a few of my favorite's from our camp out.

"Dad, Lets go fly the Kite!"

As some of you know,  we are in the mist of a spring time storm in Southern Ca.  So yesterday when Nayah got home from school the first thing she said was "Dad let's go fly the kite!" 

We bought a kite this past weekend that was intended for Sunday's day at the beach.  But the it just wasn't windy enough.  So with the wind a blowin'  we ran outside and got this sucker in the air quick.  Here's a photo of her having a blast with her new kite.  

First Time Bowling

So Saturday April 19th was Amelia's & my 11th anniversary.  When it comes to spending time out together as adults it gets tough.   Being that our nearest family member is about 1 hour and 15 mins away.  Trying to get some babysitting for us to have an evening out together becomes a chore.  So we said the heck with it.  

Lately Nayah has been playing Wii bowling and she has gotten pretty good at it.  Well,  lets just say she can smoke dad by about 75 points! 

Little by little we've noticed that she is becoming a little trash talker when she's winning.  (she gets that from dad) So Saturday we decided to surprise her and take her out bowling for reals for the first time. 

She was so excited! we played with the bumpers up.  Mainly for dad! :o

Cookie Monsters

Nayah had the opportunity to go to a friends house for a birthday party.  And boy did she have fun They had a cookie eating contest and here is the little clip.

Busted Later That Evening!

So we're hangin' out in the back and the girls were goofing around,  a typical friday afternoon.  Later that evening, we were called into the bedroom where Little Ava was. Surprisingly enough, she had decided to give herself a bath.  A baby powder bath! Wow, what a mess! There was baby powder everywhere!  Here is the evidence! 

La Habra 5K run

Since December,  Amelia has been running.  Mainly for better health.  She's been using the Nike Ipod to help motivate herself.  (We all know how hard it is to get out there and run.)  Amelia swears by Nike Ipod.  She says it has helped a ton to keep her motivated.  This past Saturday she entered the La Habra 5K run. Nayah wanted to run the 1k and after dragging her out of her warm cozy bed she agreed to go as well.  Here are some of the images from their awesome run! I'm very proud of you two for completing the run! Amelia was even interviewed by a local running network.
